Yesterday Mudd and I went shopping. I bought a lot of feast gear, and we shopped until we dropped. Note to self: The Galleria is NOT designed for traffic.

So, I had 5 sets of garb all cut out for the Baronial Christmas party. And all of a sudden, my machine wouldn't turn on. So, I got 3 tunics sewn by hand, dragged out an old dress for me (still fit, even 100 lbs later, just as badly as the day I made it.) and found a tunic for Dollface.

It should have taken us 35 minutes to get there. We drove for 70 because of the Christmas parade. My stomach was so sour by the time we got in, that no matter how I tried to damp it with bread, I just got sicker as the night progressed. the food was really good, if not at all period.

Father Christmas, accompanied by Black Pieter, showed up. The Troll scared the daylights out of Dollface. They had presents for everyone. "Bunny, age 12!" She stepped up for it and the troll asked "Are you sure you've been good?" Someone from the peanut gallery said "Are you sure she's 12?" She got a portable CD player and there was much squeeing. Obi got a model car, Jonner a hotwheels set, and Dollface, a stuffed kitten. She was tickled pink.

And there was a limerick contest, my entry in which I reproduce in full here:
There was was a brave archer, O'Fanion
Who led a life of such wanion
That although he cried "Duck"
He cursed his ill-luck
The arrows cost him another companion.

I lost that, the dessert competition and the 2 minute entertainments. It's OK. I had fun.

We got home about 11, which is early for an SCA party.

Today, we went to a Closed Door sale and got Bunny a new bed. She's getting a bunk with futon beneath. I'll need to see if we have twin sheets that are appropriate. I doubt Spiderman or Strawberry Shortcake will fly. Also got registered for $100, plus got a turkey to go home. Mmmm, turkey. Roast turkey. Turkey-dressing casserole. Turkey tetrazinni. White Chili.

Tomorrow, I move her double bed to the garage, and clean up more in Dollface's new room.

My [livejournal.com profile] yuletide story is posted. So pleased I'm done. And extra hugs to my beta! (She knows who she is)
Now for [livejournal.com profile] 3_ships.

My Legacy sim, Alice d'Eath (Science) is enduring her 10th pregnancy. She had the 10 kids want, and just about wore out poor Abhijeet (athletic) having them. (Abhijeet is a slut and woo-hoos with his boyfriend in the changing booths at the shopping center) The kids've moved out in groups as they reached adulthood. Now, Brenda and Bernard are in school, Brent has moved to toddlerhood and next child is forthcoming. Brenda is the legacy of this generation. She will grow up, marry and have kids until she gets a girl.

I'm also running the Genesis Challenge and the HomeMaker challenge. In the Genesis Project, Lilith Angel (business) is married to Kennedy Cox (medicine), and they have a beautiful, black haired toddler named Ariadne. Lilith cheats with Ivy, sometimes.

Over in Kleen Korners, Suzanne (unemployed) and Brian (Business) Breadwinner have a lovely 80 sq house, with 1 bath and 4 bedrooms. Suzanne is a neatfreak and her fun goes up when she cleans. She is sadly disappointed she can't get pregnant. (Brad and Suzi Homemaker didn't work out.)

Jesus. So it is possible?

I couldn't handle more than one kid per generation for my legacy family. They're all so fucking stupid I don't want to perpetuate the genes any further than I have to. Dagmar the mailcarrier - the spouse of my original Sim - has poisoned the genepool with her lazy, sloppy, fatass genes. I'm hoping it skips a generation because her grand-daughter Solveig Dahl gave a whole new meaning to the word feckless. She wanted to have parties all the time, write great novels and paint masterpieces - but didn't want to actually do anything to achieve those ends. The only thing of note she ever achieved was giving birth to her daughter Ursula - spawn of Brandon Lillard. Solveig shagged him in a hot tub at a party and got pregnant, but she didn't really raise the kid. Her parents had to do that because Solveig was still trying to make up her mind whether she wanted to be Artemisia Gentileschi, Charlotte Bronte or Vita fucking Sackville West on any bloody given day of the week.

She ran off with Ivy Copur. I think it's tamed her somewhat, but she still beat the snot out of Kennedy Cox the other day when he tipped over her trashcan.

Actually, I'm at a bit of a disadvantage as I decided my founding sim was immortal, and would never age to elder, so I can only have 5 kids in the house at once.

But, with a lot of Elixir, 3 adults, a nanny and a maid, it is quite possible. The trick is to knock her up almost immediately after she delivers. (Let her pee and eat and sleep, then when she's in the green, go for it)

We have a 7 bedroom, 3 bath 2 story house, so space isn't an issue. Grandma misses her girlfriend tho'. Crystal had to move out because babies got to be too much for her, and she doesn't have a phone. (Grandpa died of old age before his 7th child hit childhood)

Abhijeet is at the top of his career and works 3 days a week, when he isn't shagging anything in sight (he has a taste for black men). Lynde (grandma) is at the top of hers and works 3 days. Alice has 2 of the three days they work off.

Basically, as soon as a kid hits adulthood and one hits teen-dom, move all the kids in the house out with the adult and teen sib. Then start all over. Get one born. By the time that one hits toddler a second should be coming. Then work with the toddler to get the skills up, and have them Grow Up in platinum ASAP.

I micromanage my sims, tho.
