I lead an active Monday
Oct. 25th, 2004 08:33 pmI had a lot to do today.
Still washing party dishes. I know the cups are disposable, but they survived intact and can be used next year, There's talk of making this an annual thing. I peeled the leftover chicken from the bones to be used in stir-fry and lo mein. Bunny was a bit thrown by the color.
There was a trip to the bank, some grocery shopping (bread and milk, always. The two littles have discovered the joys of owning a toaster)
Laundry, a shower, 2 QL eps, and a Wild Wild West, "Night of a Thousand Eyes." Am I a sick puppy for wanting Jim/Artie/Jennifer 3 way? With her still in the cuffs? And Artie fantasizing about Jim? And Jim West! Tied half-naked to a rolling ladder in a library! Tied in a cage that was hooked to a lightening rod! My peril meter went wild.
Then parent-teacher conferences. I covered the boys, Mudd talked to Bunny's teachers. I have to go to the awards assembly tomorrow. Jonner is on Honor Roll and Obi had perfect attendence. Bunny made Honor Roll too, and if either of my HR kids can get their orphan Bs up, they'll be on Principal's List.
Doing some research for Media West. I may not be able to leave town until Friday afternoon. Friday is the last day of school for the kids. Flying would be $950, bus would be $566 and driving would run about $200. I'll talk to the school, find out when testing is done and pick her up. Dollface is coming along. No choice there, so I have to buy out my gofer contract. No Friday panels either.
Better start saving now. $200 for gas, $250 for hotel, food, and just STUFF (Bunny really, really wants a "Knowledge is Power. Power Corrupts. Study Hard. Be Evil." shirt and we both want Miskatonic U shirts.) Not to mention Bunny wants to host a party for the kids (junior fans), so there's more food money there.
I'll need to see if Dollface wants to dress up too. Good thing she's pretty omniovorous.
Have to stop at Walgreens on my way home. Hope the liquor section is still open. I want a rum and coke.
