I'm a sick little succubus.
My head is stuffy, my sinuses ache, and nasty green gunk comes up when I cough. And every time I sneeze, I tear up. My left eye's tear ducts are connected right into my sinuses, I swear.

Mudd started back to work for teacher in-services this morning. The kids come back next Thursday.

Bunny and I got her schedule. They've got the poor kid doing a marathon race. The school is shaped like a W. Her locker and home room are on the bottom right point. Her first class is on the left tip, then one in the middle of the right leg, then one on the bottom left point. Brass (her band class) is in a building above the middle leg. She is waffling: trumpet, trombone or tuba. I told her to learn them all, and join a mariachi band at Pancho's to make college money. She gave me that "mo-oooo-om" look. I made sure she could open her locker. She's also read one of the 2 novels her honors English class will be covering.

Our school is part of an experimental federal program. Everyone gets free breakfast and lunch regardless of income. Now if I was a conspiracy theorist, I'd say "I wonder what mind-control drugs they're adding." But as an over-worked mom who hates the smell of peanutbutter in the morning, I just said "yay."

I'm off Saturday and Sunday, which is nice. I have to work Friday tho, and every Saturday this semester because of stupid Fall Break and the week before Christmas. I need the comp time to compensate for being gone those 10 days.

Must get the entry forms in for the Fair. I think I'll make a toy dragon. (they're adorable) Maybe a 5 headed one.

Go Tuba

This will sound really weird, but seriously, go tuba. There is so many scholarships for tuba players right now and very, very few tuba players. I know this because my nephew is taking the tuba for this very reason and he'll get to play the drums and electric bass as part of the rhythm section. ;-)
