Good Times

At the best of times, Luke was funny, strong willed, determined and sensual. At the worst of times, he was goofy, stubborn, obsessive and oversexed.
Amazing how the two blurred into each other, Han thought, watching Luke work with the remote yet again. He’d shaved the response time to nil and was still beating the ball every time, blast-helmet and all.
Luke peeled off the helmet and wiped his face on the shirt he’d discarded earlier. “It’s no good.”
Han gave his friend his best confused look. It covered the more blatant ogling of Luke’s body.
“No good at all. I’m not fast enough, but I’m too fast for the remote.”
“C’mere.” When Luke came to where Han sat, the pilot grabbed him by the arm and pulled him into his lap. “You’re fast enough for me.” He bent in for a kiss, breathing the smell of Luke that exercise only intensified.
“This is not what I need right now.” Luke flipped his hair out of his eyes and started to get up. Han stopped him.
“It’s exactly what you need and you know it.” Han kissed him again, much more insistently, and felt Luke starting to thaw.
“All right, all right. I’ll take a break. The Empire can stand for an extra hour.”
“You think this is only going to take an hour?”
“Oversexed pirate.” The insult was tempered by a warm hand that slid down the neck of Han’s shirt.
“Obsessive idealist. Let’s go.” Han stood up, dumping Luke on the deckplates in one quick motion. “Nope, still not fast enough.”
“You’ll pay for that,” Luke threatened.
“Make me.” It was definitely going to be one of the best of times.
