So, I watched The Flash II: Return of the Trickster.

Take away notions

1) Mark Hamill is not a man to wear skintight spandex. Or maybe he is. I was having Labyrinth flashbacks, OK? And very sexy in a suit and glasses.

2) I really like the tough private eye. She's very cool. And way too competent.

3) Ooooo, mind-control. Sparkleyyyyyyy.

4) Male bonding! You can't tell me there isn't slash. They dump the girls and it's "boys' night out!" but rather misogynistic. I see them as boys stuck at about age 10 when girls are "yucky."


This was really funny, esp. if you are into comic book movies. Very workmanlike performances, some really good. SPFX not bad. Just a great deal of good clean fun.

I remember seeing the two episodes on that "Flash" TV series where Mark Hamill played the Trickster -- have they put together a movie or video of those episodes? I used to really enjoy that John Wesley Shipp/Amanda Pays series, for the almost-one season it was on the air, and the Mark Hamill episodes (with Joyce Hiser as the tough lady P.I.) were some of the best.
