There's a bit of a story behind the "pimp" one. I wanted something to use when I'm promoting a fandom, or hyping myself, i.e. pimping. I considered a goofy 70's hat. And I made one of Yoda and his gimer stick entitled "pimp cane."
The picture itself is from a German magazine. It was Harrison Ford in a nice white suit. And those shoes. I cropped it to the shoes.
See, in college I had a friend named Norm. Norm had his senior picture taken and I bumped into him on campus. I looked him over and my first words were "Very spiffy, Norm. You look like a pimp." He had a fit. We finally decided it was the shoes creating the effect. We got to visiting and another friend of ours walked up a few minutes later, looked him over and said, "Very spiffy, Norm. You look like a pimp."
The shoes were identical to the ones in the picture. Ergo: pimp shoes.
