Mom called tonight.

She just got out of the hospital. Do you know how sick you have to be to be hospitalized for 6 fraggin' days on an IV and a NG tube?
Pancreatitis. She's out now. And then there's the torn cartlidge in the right knee (not the one she had replaced last Christmas).

And my sister is going crazy between her schedule, Mom and a couple of double shifts.

Who am I to complain my youngest was running a 102 fever all week?

oh man...

I'm beginning to wonder how much longer Mom can last. (And getting a scary look at myself 20 years down the road)

I'm so sorry to hear about your mum. Very difficult to be caught between the generations like that. Hope everyone, kidlet with fever and mum and Angel-in-the-middle, is doing better by now.

I'm 500 miles away. I'm not quite in the middle. Mom is more a newsflash sort of thing. She's got a good hubby to take care of her (thank goodness) and my sister is local too.

We're skiving off practice. Bunny is throwing up and Obi is feverish. They've gotten what Dollface had.

We're stocked on soup and gingerale at least.
