And this jumped out at me
The good lieutenant wanted this kept in-house and under wraps, and solved before the killer struck again. What Lieutenant Hacker wanted, she got. Those who failed to give it to her had a bad habit of waking up in different shapes than they went to bed. She wanted this solved and tied up in a pretty black velvet bow before the Feds invited themselves in on the case.
And now I am imagining a Criminal Minds crossover, with the BAU invited in to Memphis to solve the serial killing.
I can see Garcia looking sick at the crime scene photos. And them rambling on about sadistic killers and disorganized killers.
Six children, two each on the night of the full moon. Every one asleep in their own house, in their own little bed. Three girls and three boys, found dead by their parents, blood soaking the beds and carpets, all flesh missing from hip joint to knee.
But they get to Memphis. And there are combat mages on motorcycles, and werewolves. And the PMSquad of witches, sorceresses and seeresses.
I want to see Reid, all brilliant and logical, square off with Sgt. Thomas, mansplaining to her that magic is all nonsense until she shoots a mini-fireball right past his ear.
I want to see Hotch have to shoot a werewolf that's going to eat JJ. And the JJ has to deal with the backing and filling from the local pack who insist he was a renegade and transient.
And how is Derek going to handle a vampire? Especially one who looks at him, asks "Do you have any pressing business, I'm on my way to a council meeting," and walks off while he stammers.
I'm wrong. I will sit here in my wrongness and giggle. Wrongly.
