I'm enjoying my last days home alone. It's been busy and productive and I like taking care of just me.

The family is in Ohio, except Obi who is in Korea. They traveled safely and have been enjoying their holiday.
My dad and sister are having dinner at her cousin's place.
The husband and his husbear are out east for a family dinner.
The GF is out with her parents.

I'm glad they're pleased and that they are there.
I'm going to make a pie, clean and get ready for work.

It has been a long hard year.
Mom left us last December.
Darren was taken from us in September.
Mudd's been working hugely.
Gabriel has been ill almost constantly.
We lost one of the kittens
I've been working two jobs since October, in addition to the press.

Today, there is still much to be thankful for, even with all of that.

I have two husbands who love me. Ditto an on-and-off schmoop of a girlfriend.
I have four great kids, two of whom are getting on with the adulting thing, one of whom is prepping for college, and one who is laying plans and practicing for her career.
My father continues in good health after the bout with cancer.
One sister is living exactly the life she wants.
The other is coping, as best she can.
I have two jobs. I hope to have them both after the first of the year.
I have a new washer and dryer.
I have great authors and editors who have ridiculous amounts of undeserved faith in me.
I have kittens.
