Morning imponderable
Oct. 27th, 2015 08:01 amStephen King's Christine (1983) is what happens when you put Michael Moorcock's Elric of Melnibone (1977) into a contemporary timeline and take out the incest, demons and torture.
Think about it.
Weak (Arnie is physically small and weak. Elric is kept alive only by magic and drugs)
white (very white, Elric is an albino)
loser (Arnie is a nerd, Elric is king but no one respects or obeys him)
acquires a
Murderous Object (Christine the car, Stormbringer the runesword)
which helps him gain personal power (Arnie gets more confident, Elric no longer needs the drugs),
gives him revenge (Arnie murders the bullies, Elric takes command of his kingdom from his cousin)
and proceeds to devour everyone he love.
Sometimes my brain makes weird connections.
