Go read it, I'll wait.

"But, this distrust can be pervasive, spreading to a general skepticism about the truthfulness of their own accounts of their own experiences. If women's feelings aren't really to be trusted, then naturally their recollections of certain things that have happened to them aren't really to be trusted either."

This is why, when Mudd gives me the third degree, my first response is "Why do you think I'm lying to you about this? Do you think I really want to bother you? If I could have handled it, I would have."

If I say something isn't working, that means it either is not currently working, or it didn't work when I tried it earlier. Do not FIX the problem and then tell me it works. Tell me you fixed it. The difference is called gaslighting.

If my computer doesn't work, don't fix it and try to convince me there was nothing wrong. Do you think I sat there for an hour trying to make it work just for my amusement? Do you think I am bothering you with my trivial little problem just to be bugging you? Say you fixed it and that next time, I need to do this and that.

Men don't trust women.
They question us until we don't trust ourselves.
And some of us, who know we are right, learn not to trust them with anything more than veriest trivia.

Everyone is trustworthy, as long as you know their limits. And for most people it's "I trust you not to stab me in the face while I'm talking to you, but little more."
