Part of the new year is to get back to posting these.
They help keep me balanced

Today:

Crocheted on the Lost Souls shawl, and on a corner to corner blanket for Lisi

Cleaned my desk.
Cleared in the study
Cleaned the back bathroom
Cleaned off the kitchen table
Made my bed
Washed the dishes

Dinner was fish and chips.

Mudd trying to master Europa Universalis and tried his hand at Civilization: Beyond Earth.
My sims were glitchy. The boy has knocked up his girlfriend. I got them married, but she had five babies and booted his older father out of the household. (He's a son of gay parents) May wipe them out and try again. Might get the pregnancy for all hack as my men keep wanting to make a baby with each other.

I work Tuesday, so Inky Sooky work and house cleaning.

The D-Man Checks In

Ahhh... What a typical (Judeo-Christian) deity you are; your creations/children do something you don't like, so you destroy them. Nice! (*Devilish Grin*)

The boy knocked up his girlfriend. Boys will be boys. (This startles or surprises anyone... How?)

She had 5 babies. Oddly high number, but it happens.

She booted daddy-in-law out of the house. Needed room, as she now has 5 kids to feed, house, and care for, and daddy-in-law can at least feed himself and change his own underwear. Normal female nesting instincts. "The nest is only so big. If you can fly... it's time you flew." Limited space. Limited resources. Maybe unsettling, arguably feral, but nothing abnormal.

He's the son of gay parents. This is relevant... How? Homosexuality is not hereditary, nor does any study show (and you know gay marriage is now under many microscopes) it gives any greater drive to keep a household intact. (Studies do show however that gay households are more prone to divorce & physical abuse, but I find these results sketchy if not suspect given the thus far limited pool & time to study the subjects, plus the possibility of politics/propaganda in the mix).

Pregnancy hack & men wanting to make a baby with each other? How else is a computer supposed to translate the concept of homosexuality? We have trouble enough with (heterosexual) humans trying to translate & comprehend (much more accept or tolerate) the concept.

My creations do something that is supposed to be impossible.
If you have 4 people in a house, there shouldn't be more than four babies. in fact, in all the years I've played the sims, they've never more than twinned.

Except, father in law was the primary income source, being a test pilot and the gay part was a clarification of "elder father."

All sims are bisexual. They will "woo-hoo" with anyone, male or female. But unless you have a hack, or are abducted by aliens, you can't get your male sims pregnant. I had the hack for Sims 2.

As for the abuse, 1 in 3 men in a same-sex relationship is abused by his partner. 1 in 3 women in a heterosexual relationship is abused by her partner. (CDC stats) The problem is not gay or straight, the problem is a male in the relationship. (Funny how the Christianists trumpeting the 1 in 3 gay abuse statistic shut right up at that point)
