A busy, and good day

Dad sent me home with money, so we bought a dryer today.
We'd planned on an Amana, but visited the local Sears, and found a Kenmore at the same price.
So that is home and hooked up.

I sorted out the bank. And cleaned in the kitchen and front room
I got so filthy, I had a shower.
We went for pizza.
I did some writing. About 1000 on the animal attack story and a brief fanfic for Knitfic. A strictly G-rated Star Wars fic. http://valarltd.tumblr.com/post/123650718141/tomorrows-knitfic-day

And there were kittens to hold and pet. They're three days old.
Cloud, Mittens and Henry. Mittens is mouthy. Henry is a tiny adventurer, even though his eyes aren't open. Cloud is a chow-hound, always eating.

Watched the first 4 eps of Smallville season 5. Lois is kept to a tolerable minimum. I really don't like Erica Durance or the way the writers are handling Lois. Can we just kill her and let Chloe assume her identity?

My assessment:
Throw-away Kryptonians (Disciples of Zod)

James Marsters with brown hair and an American accent. Messing with my head, this is.

Evil!Lex. Not loving this.

Possessed!Lionel. (which is doing terrible, awful things to my not-secret obsession fic ideas)

Chloe in on the secret. (adorable)

Sexy fun times with Lana. (ehhh)

And two cameos by future Sons of Anarchy actors. Kenny Johnson (Kozik) as an electromutant with a couple of Renfields and Johnny Rivers (Half-sack) as Chloe's tech guy who is set to nuke Smallville off the map.

Also surprise visit from Arthur Curry. (We really are going to see the whole Justice League at some point)

On the whole, not enough hoo-yay, too much het, and a tolerable amount of Lois.

I think I'll keep going with it, at least for another DVD.

Politics:

Signing away the living wage in Wisconsin. I awoke one summer morning a few years back to discover Ray Bradbury was dead and Scott Walker was still governor. I went back to bed. And this man wants to be president.

Jeb Bush says we need to work more hours. He ahs backtracked and said it means full time jobs. But let's see where we stand on hours worked.

Birth control is what allows women full participation in society. Now, the insurance we pay for is required to cover it like any other medication.
