We tend to think of misogyny as a function of Islamic and Christian fundamentalists. Apparently none of the Abrahamics are immune. We've had stories of beatings on buses and "female-free billboard" campaigns. Now,the Haredi are hassling a little girl and the news is out, sparking protests. Israel sees this as a battle over the future shape of the nation. The link is from Haaretz, an Israeli paper.

State of the Sooky

A tad early

Got up about 9, feeling much better. Able to breathe out both sides of my nose, and some small sense of smell and taste back.

Resumed the Lunchtime Life Collection

Ran 3 loads of laundry

Took Oli to dr, only to find out they were closed for a power outage.

Went to grocery store. Scored some hamburger at $1.79 lb. Froze immediately.

Talked Jonner through making oatmeal peanut butter muffins with apples and raisins

Made turkey alfredo florentine for dinner.

Worked out.

Watched part of Don Juan de Marco Johnny Depp is beyond sexy in this. This line, in particular, got me: What do you know of great love? Bit of my editing:
A mad-looking red-haired woman, barely as high as his shoulder, wearing a blue sleeveless minidress, charged the dais, waving a machete, screaming about Children of Cain. He parried with the microphone stand, and used the wide base of it to knock her down the stairs. George and Ben, two of the braver tenors from the choir behind him, dashed down to hold her under the knee-deep blood so she would drown.

Micah didn't understand at all. The invaders could die, and many of them had. Some of them got back up after death but others did not. Some took longer than others to get back up.
