Busy few days

valarltd1) Nikolai, my first novel, is 9 this year. It was in need of an update and revision as I have brought a new partner into the universe. We have a prequel written and currently in content edits.
So, there were updates and revisions. My little 50K book is now 75K. So look for a re-release of Nikolai later this year.
2) NikoChan, the sequel, is getting ripped apart and put back together. So far, the only things we know for certain that we're keeping are "They go to Rome for the Training Montage", "Tanis and Steven have marital trouble" and "Val fucks David. A lot."
(Alas, the vision of James Ligatos in green silk posing pouch, green glitter, silver collar and cuffs is going by the wayside. The pink kitten ears and fluffy tail on a butt-plug need to go.)
3) The Sweet Science of Bruising, steampunk and bare knuckles, has been entered in Ardent Press' Scorching Stories contest.
4) Terror of the Frozen North, the next Lord Withycombe adventure, is awaiting input from![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
nbrooks.
5) The DJ Admire Novel With No Name *insert Western Sound Effect Here* is out to 33K, and should be finished in a couple weeks. Next week is brutal, I will be working 10 hour days, with drives of up to 500 miles round trip.
6) "Waterwheel" for the Devout anthology is back to the editors after its second round.
7) I've watched 4 episodes of Smallville.
8) I've done two tablet resets at Wal-Marts.
9) I watched half of Bye Bye Birdie. Not loving it. OTOH:
Musical biker-mage, possibly part of a gang of song-fighters who terrorize a town... Go away. There are other things to write.
10) Mudd starts back August 11. The kids go back Aug 18.
Off to bed so I can enjoy my last day off and not sleep through it.
