That's longhand stuff.
valarltd: (I seem to have died)
It all went well until Monday afternoon.

I made Colgate, with my load of Ajax. Then I locked my keys in my tractor. Locked out. In 108 degree heat. (another Falcon driver rescued me)

I now have spare keys.

Then there was no place to park for 80 miles. And no load until noon Tuesday. And then a complicated pick up. And a hot run to Connecticut.

At which point my tractor gave it up on I 40. The "Engine Warn" light came on while I was driving. The mechanic couldn't tell me squat, except the light means it needs to go back to the dealer. I asked if it was going to fall out up in the Appalachians and leave me stranded. He couldn't say.

So Wednesday, I dropped my tractor in Nashville, picked up one that was about 5000 miles overdue for service and drove it to West Middlesex. My hot load got relayed off, and I hung out waiting for a southerly load.

Friday, I ended up with more dish soap and a quasi-hurricaine in my path.

So the week's tally:
(1) locked out Angel
(2) moves
(3) cabs in 2 days.
(1) Angel with heat prostration from moving in 100+ heat. (I thought I was going to faint or throw up)
(1) trip to West Middlesex PA
(1) night in the Quality Inn
(2) loads of dish soap
(8) hours in a rest area north of Cincinnati.
(30) minutes spent parking the trailer in a spot so tight I ripped my shirt because there wasn't enough room for me and my boobs between them
(1) ripped t-shirt
(5) inches--the distance I had to lower a 40,500 lb+ trailer to make it connect with my fifth wheel
and
One. Laughing. Mischief. God.

Loki can bite my ass. oh wait...
