Short weekend

I rolled in last night with 40,000 lbs of Ajax dish soap on my butt bound for Dallas today. (That's a helluva a lot dirty dishes)

I'm scribbling away, trying to get chapter 10 done before I leave. Looks like PotC is postponed until next weekend since I'm running up to Blytheville to get my car.

Had a lovely visit late Wednesday night with dakiwiboid and her moosl is adorable. We have to get together more than once every 14 years. There are pictures at her LJ

Slept for eight hours straight without waking every couple. This is a distinct improvement.

Home for the night

So I did my logging. I ran very hard last week, and if I left tonight, I would be running out of hours all over the place at the most inconvenient times. (I worked a 63 hour week last week) Which would be headache-making for dispatch.

If I leave at 7 AM tomorrow, I have 70 hours to play with all week. That will be much better.

I'm not running renegade for dish soap. A hot load of life-saving medications? Then I say "screw the law" and make like Han Solo. But not for a lousy load of dish soap. For that, I am sane and judicious Picard, planning my work and working my plan.

So we went and paid homage to our fictional ancestor.

Obi gave it a 9 out of 10. 10/10 on the gross-out scale and 10 on violence, all the stuff that is really important to 11 year old boys.

Bun, after squeeing endlessly over the hoo-yay has locked herself in her room with her poster of Jack Sparrow. Pay no attention to any noises...
