The Friday Follies
Sep. 19th, 2003 09:24 amGen Wesley Clark, The Democratic Mary Sue:
"He comes across as less angry than Howard Dean (who can give the impression that one-on-one he might put the president in a headlock). He seems more personable than John Kerry, more mature than John Edwards, more telegenic than Joe Lieberman and so on."

( TMI of the Female sort )
Starsky and Hutch: The Movie is slated for relaese next spring. Cry nostalgia and let slip the dogs of bad taste. Not to be hateful about the boys (and they were sexy boys) but I am so sick of 70's nostalgia. The decaade wasn't that appealing the first time around!
Besides, wanna bet all the lovely subtext is leached away? Gimme the old reruns, thanks.
"Relentlessly cheery images make me feel haunted by the past, as if I were an extra in a David Lynch movie, drenched with sunny dread...When will the future stop looking like a set from Blade Runner?"

The "This is Sex" Icon making meme will eat Live Journal! Make sure you get a bite! Mine will be up this afternoon.
( my ideas, so i don't lose them )
It's looking stormy here. Hope it doesn't rain out our fair-going plans. (whine, whine, whine when millons on the eastern seaboard are without power, I know, I know. We DID the 90-120 mph winds already this year, with NO warning, and no time to take shelter. So I want to go to the Fair, and not disappoint my kids. Is that a crime?)
The printers at work are conspiring to make me scream. The printer for public use gives me a 41.5 error, and there's a label stuck in the line printer I use for overdue notices.
Mmm, out of here in 2.5 hours. Then to RGIS to get my shirt and schedule. And then, bring my button eq. to work tomorrow and do up 50 anti-censorship buttons.
Bunny got my trial ones: a Harry Potter cover with the caption "I read Banned Books" and "There is more than one way to burn a book. And the world is full of people running about with lit matches." Ray Bradbury She's wearing them on her backpack. Dollface insisted, so she got a HP one to wear on her "packpack"
Progress reports were good: Bunny got all A's (an improvement over last year), Obi was split 2 A, 2 B (again, better than last year. Jonner is doing well and has started talking in class. (He wouldn't talk for the first 3 weeks)
