I can feel incipient depression happening.
Or maybe I'm just PMSing.

I don't want to write e-mail. I don't want to do anything.
I really don't like long periods of self-eaxmination, and I just went through one.

Cut for much personal whinging. )

Also in the news:

Leni Riefstahl, 101, brilliant and beautiful woman, with a huge influence on cinema, died this week. Imagine what movies would have been like had she not been blacklisted and had worked for the last 60 years. She was as influential as DW Griffith for technique.

Johnny Cash, 71. He'd been very ill for years so this was not unexpected. He will be missed. I was never fortunate enough to hear him in person, but I have many recordings.

John Ritter, 54. Unexpected. Terrible shame as he'd just gotten picked up for a second season.

I knew i felt immature )

I think I'll have some chocolate therapy tonight.

1. How do you contribute to fandom (write, vid, costume, critique, archive, edit, organize cons, other)?

Write, Beta, List mom. Contribute to zines. Learning to draw. Vidding.

2. Has your contribution changed over the years?

I used to do more costuming. Now I do more zine writing and less net writing.

3. What area would you like to contribute in but lack the resources (be it time, talent or equipment)?

Costuming, con organization

4. What contribution of yours do you wish had received a wider audience?

The zine stories. Feedback would be greatly appreciated. I sweat blood over those, but the PWP I toss off for the list gets 4 times the feedback.

5. Which of your contributions are you most proud?

Four fannish children.

1. Is the name you have now the same name that's on your birth certificate? If not, what's changed?

I took my husband's last name when we married, and did not keep my maiden name "Moss" in any way shape of form. When it's a lichen, can you blame me?

2. If you could change your name (first, middle and/or last), what would it be?

I like my name. If I had to change it, it would be an Elizabeth or Sara or something.

3. Why were you named what you were? (Is there a story behind it? Who specifically was responsible for naming you?)

My mother named me. I tend to claim she was under ether because "Angelia" is a weird spelling for "Angela." The story runs that I came very close to being named Angelique, after the 18th century heroine of Sergeanne Golon's romantic novels. However, "Dark Shadows" was on the air, and Mom was afraid it would date me.

4. Are there any names you really hate or love? What are they and why?

Anything made up or spelled strange. Makes life hell for those of us who have to deal with these names.

Anything ending in "ie" or "y" given as a proper name. They don't sound mature. Susie and Betty are fine at 6 and 16, but do you really want them at 36?

Wrong gender names. I have a nephew named Brayden and a niece named Logan.

5. Is the analysis of your name at kabalarians.com accurate? How or how isn't it?

analysis )

Some of it seems about right. The creative part. The idea that I can't seem to get the words to come out of my mouth properly.

It's 8 PM. Too early for bed. Yet i am bored out of my mind.
