The Cable Modem is faboo. Now to get the LAN hooked up so I can get off dial-up too.

No heat yet, dammit. V. cold at home. Hope furnace comes in today and they can hook it up. We're under a wind-chill advisory for tonight, ten be-freaking-low!

Got the edits for Illugi done in a white heat last night. Not sure why, but all of a sudden there they were.

Kids home with bugs again. In an unheated house.
Must decide what to do.
Whether to go home or stay at work.
(cold here too)

Still no furnace. kids all huddled in great room near TV, oven and space heater.
Me, i'm drinking hot tea and fixing meatloaf.

(Um, no, the oven isn't in the great room, it's just at the end of the kitchen nearest the great room.) The front room and all bedrooms (esp the two on the north side, and our unheated one) are closed off.

We're going to the store and getting cookie making supplies.
And we're sleeping in the great room, in a big heap to keep warm. hubby works tonight and will stay watrm there.

May have to get some yarn and make me some gloves. I'll fix up my coat tonight. I have a nice cloth one that shouldn't generate so much static I shock myself touching WATER.

Also, found the soapstone beads for daughter's display. Viking trade-goods, also their version of teflon.

So I sit, wearing a blouse, my vest (several layers of cotton duck) and my wrap.
And i'm still flippin cold!
Fingers mostly.

Maybe I can get some crochet done. Too cold in the study to write.

My little sister is 30 today. I sent her a card.
