It's been a LONG weekend.
On the plus side:
I finished everything that's going into my Secret Sister box. Pictures will be on the website after she gets it.
We got a digital camera and plenty of memory for about $50. (120 pictures before download)
I ran 3 loads of laundry, and got everything folded and put away.
Jon has a curtain up in addition to his blinds. OK, so it's an old He-Man sheet, but he's tickled.
I got to watch Buffy and Birds of Prey and 24. I cannot concentrate on crochet whe Keifer Sutherland is on screen. DAY-um! He's hotter than he was 15 years ago. Of course the Sutherland men are incubi, so that's probably why.
I picked out my pattern for the cross-stitch exchange. A very lovely monchrome piece that I'm doing in purple.
I got to go to Hobby Lobby. Talk about ginormous! We walked for an hour. And the only thing better than Halloween candy at 50% off is Halloween candy at 80% off. I also got two very cool pumpkin pattern books, which, if I carve 2 pumkins a year will keep me in designs for the next decade.
I found a terrific Christmas gift for my dad, who is almost impossible to buy for.
On the down side:
I spent too much money.
I ate too much candy.
I am walking wounded from cleaning poop off the cat. Stupid beast tripped me while I was walking to the garbage can with a pooey pull-up. All over me, all over the kitchen tile (thank God not the carpet!) all over the cat.
Dollface got my scissors. He bangs had just grown out from the time Trouble cut them. She doesn't have bangs now. She has scalp. Pale white scalp. I crocheted her a hat this evening.
Trouble is puny. That's the only word for it. He was a little feverish early in the evening. Then he coughed himself awake while I was in the bathroom. He fell asleep sucking a Halls, which I took out of his mouth so he wouldn't choke.
The boys are being recalcitrant and not letting me sleep until I write.
Mom is having knee replacement Dec 17. We may adjust our travel accordingly. It's going to be a good thing,. She has no cartilige left in her knee. She's using a lot of Darvocet to get through the day.
All right, all right! I'm going to write!
