Father's Day

My Dad, left, with the kids and me at Christmas. I'm looking forward to seeing him in a couple weeks. He just finished radiation and chemo for lymphatic cancer of the throat.
Dad is the reason for the icon. In 1977, he dragged (almost literally) my 9 year old self to see Star Wars. I was enthralled. He now feels he may be to blame for everything from the fangirl to the writing career.
Dad taught me to drive a car, to pump gas, to mow the lawn. He taught me to clean as I go when cooking, how to do perfect microwave bacon and how to BBQ. He took me to my first R rated movie (1984) and did his best not to be embarrassed by the nudity. He walked me down the aisle, and held all his grandkids.
