So today is a day of much toing and froing.
I've hardboiled two dozen eggs, gotten through about 1/3 of my training for the new job, made lunch and started packing.
Oh packing while multiple is FUN.
David has had two tantrums already and is sulking. One because of a laundry accident that left our good black pants paint-spattered. One because we can't find his tan argyle socks. The black and purple argyle do NOT go with the blue and yellow jacket and shirt. The sulk is because we don't have good shoes.
Hester has had a minor hissy over not being able to find her blouse. We found it, but it needs pressing.
Mike is scowling because we can't find his crop or his boots. And because the black pants are paint-spattered.
At least I found our pajamas. And all our toiletries are packed. I'm considering letting Zara out to handle all this crap. She's good at it. But she has turned her nose up at the very idea, since she's not getting to go.
*facepalm*
I'm going to eat my chicken caesar salad, do the rest of the current training module, check the eggs and finish the packing. Then I do the really long, 12 video module and find the glue gun. Then I start loading...

Date: 2014-04-18 03:59 am (UTC)Somebody, or a gang of somebodies, is heading off to go on a fun-fun 3 day vacation event that I would enjoy myself at -- even if only as a spectator -- then distinctly tells me that I am not invited and therefore not going... only then to later HAVE THE GALL to ask me for help packing & managing things when all does not go well, so that they can head out the door faster for their fun-fun 3 day vacation without me?
I would literally lift only a single finger to help them:
My middle finger... and then only that for a couple seconds before I'd turn my back on them and walk away -- smirking over their troubles, my nose very much also up in the air.
"Since you made it plain you wanted to manage this without me... By all means then, manage without me. Ta. Maybe I'll see you when you get back."
=-=-=-=-=
That said, I personally hope you have a fabulous (and profitable) time at FroliCon. I shall look forward to hearing all about it upon your return.
