Since I could put my hands on the Tril, I started there. First order of business is a clean remix of "Don't let the Sun Go Down on me" exportable to VHS.
ANH is pretty well capped.
Working on ESB. Just about to go barging into a Hoth blizzard. I gotta put my hands on my copy of RotJ, because a lot of the caps come from there.

Interesting that in ESB, Luke and Han do not touch. In ANh, they're in each others' space, hugging, and little touches here and there. In ESB, Han rolls Luke over to check for a pulse. In RotJ, Luke is in Han's space again, even while he's maintaining the aloof Jedi thing. And they are hugging again by the end.

Also nabbed the hall argument, with Han jabbing his finger in Leia's face until you expect her to snap "Put that away before you put my eye out!" That's for the "Happy Together" vid. Goes nicely with Hannibal mindfucking Clarice, Bufffy impaling Angel, Flash being executed in front of Dale and Norman drowning Claire.

prillalar's vid. Now that I have a cable modem and a puter that can handle it, I will.

What format do you save your vidcaps in?

They're in rnzl, which is a bastard format.

I'm wondering if there's any
way you could share some frames or bits with me, if I could make them
into fodder for photomanipping for illos. There are a number of scenes
in the tril that I want to use for photomanips, but the vidcaps
available online are often very low resolution. It's a bit shameless of
me to ask if I can cadge any raw materials from you, but we're friends,
I'm not talking about making my own *vids* from your work, and I can
imagine you'd like to see more nice photomanips in the zines too. So I'm
willing to beg for help. *g*

I can save frames as bitmaps. It's not a problem. Let me know what you wan.

What I really need to do, though, is get off my butt and do the
laserdisc-to-DVD project, and then we'll all have very high quality
digital stuff to work with. You might find it useful in your vidding,
too. "
