The D-Man Checks In
Date: 2013-09-17 08:17 pm (UTC)Lots of old friends in that article, and no... None of my players ever had to run into a tarrasque. The upper level and ultra powerful characters in my games usually finally fell to a demon prince, nasty trap, or an undead something... before they hit 15th level; more often before they hit 12th... or they comfortably retired, married, had kids, and then continued the family dynasty as adventurers... granting or passing on to their new player character offspring/generation the magic & money, schooling & special training they never had when they were 1st level characters, and played again.
