valarltdMy Fantasical Creatures Deck is a quiet deck. If it isn't in the mood to talk, it will sugar coat and beat around the bush. But today, it said "Use me!" Thing is, I'm not sure what to make of this.
Any help would be great. I have a terrible time doing readings for myself, because there are always 97 ways to take everything. (one interpretation of this says "pursue that long-delayed romance with the D-Man and all will work out creatively and monetarily" but I know THAT can't be right)
My situation:
The Empress (the Morrigan): Fertility, Creativity, unexpected joy and prosperity. Intuition, spiritual knowledge. Femininity, nature and abundance.
The Knight of Cups (Mannanan Mac Lir) Romance, love, possibly in so deep with someone I can't see clearly. Undertaking of creative ventures. Don't get caught in fantasy, but listen to your heart.
Chains (Fenris Wolf): This is the Devil card in most decks. A warning against obsession, against being trapped by what I can easily escape. A backlash from negative acts. There is always a way out, but I must be willing to take it.
What I need to know:
The Fool (Amphisbaena) Decisions must be made. Something new is coming and I need to get every head thinking clearly (unlike the two-headed serpent on the card) A new beginning, a leap of faith. Be spontaneous.
The Ace of Wands: (Simurgh) Change through creativity. Inspiration, power, creativity. Past efforts allow for a new role or radical change.
The King of Cups (Neptune) A favorable enterprise. Emotional balance and control.
What I can control:
6 of Pentacles (Domovoy) Abundance and prosperity lead to generosity. A repayment of debts. Giving. Sharing the wealth.
2 of Pentacles (Fey): Juggling jobs or money. Make some firm financial choices. Balance, adapt, prioritize, manage your time.
Ace of Pentacles (Brownies) A new home, job or relationship. Help with a problem. A new enterprise. Manifestation. New financial opportunity.
What I can't control:
9 of Wands (Griffin)Keep quiet and listen. A cycle of completion follows a job well done. Courage, persistance, resiliance.
King of Pentacles (The Green Man) Security, control, power, discipline, abundance.
5 of Cups (Lorelei): At an emotional time, when every action needs two thoughts before it is done. Loss, regret, despair, disappointment. Partial emotional loss. Don't be so distracted by the spilled ones as to neglect the two that are still there.
Outcome:
Ace of Cups (Water faeries) A new cycle of emotion, creative growth. Love, compassion, creativity, overwhelming emotion. My cup runneth over, literally.
King of Swords (Vampire) Swift, accurate thinking, eloquent words. On the edge of a long-awaited spiritual breakthrough. Clear thinking, intellectual power, truth.
10 of Pentacles (Dwarves) Success, prosperity, family happiness. Whatever I begin now will last. Wealth.
Tying it together:
8 of Wands (Sleipnir) Rapid movement in my life. Take sudden action for success. Speed, action, swift change.

Date: 2013-04-21 08:19 am (UTC)I don't think it's talking about a romance, though- unless the Knight of Cups is representing a person in your world.
The first impressions I have are that financial stuff seems steady for you, but that you're not necessarily comfortable with all of that (King of Pentacles is at ease with his wealth, but he's in your 'what you can't control' bit), Empress is emotional rather than rational so she runs counter to him. I always tend to think of the King of Pentacles as a more mundane version of the Emperor, so you've got two opposite world views, right there.
I would tend to view the Knight of Cups as indecision, procrastination- he wants to do the right thing but he's so caught up in making sure it's right, he does nothing- he's Parsifal in my deck. Those three cards together (EMpress, Devil, Knight of CUps) look to me like a feeling of being trapped and unable/ unwilling to free yourself and not necessarily thinking clearly about it.
But that's me, pre-caffeine, and still processing last night's beer, so I'll come back to you with any other thoughts I have...

The D-Man Replies...
Date: 2013-04-23 10:36 am (UTC)My take is that this one is pointing you towards us getting started on another collaboration, being as the outline for said story has already been submitted to you... and you said you loved it. (Zara's going to look fabulous in harem pants!) Granted, Hard Reboot is not seeing wild profits. I have floated a number of probable reasons for that, few if any of which are because of the story or its writing alone.
Live & learn from past mistakes. Correct them. Sally forth with a new effort & follow-up story. See what happens. Be glad we live so far apart that neither of us can easily reach out and kill the other with an axe.
Also of note: I have been holding something back (a project) from July, 2011, which perfectly fit that other Tarot reading you did from 2 years ago, before you ever even sent me that reading (you've been busy, as have I, so there was no time nor money for it), but this new reading seems to be so in sync' with that last, it could be pointing to me bringing this one forward finally and pitching it to you, as it's still there--waiting in the wings, still powerful, and so still casting forth an influence on your cards, which can sense it (as the story's all but screaming to be told & released).
That long-delayed romance has waited this long by now, it can stand further delay... especially as it would probably end with one of us dying in the other's arms (the survivor likely & well having been the cause of the death). Yeah. I can still wait on that a while longer.

And since the series is with AQ, that's where it stays.
Ah yes, the old question of "If your lover is decapitated during sex, is it necrophilia while you get the body off of you?" (Note the lack of "not by you" caveat)
We'll see what we have going. I have been threatened with bodily harm should I attempt working with you again, by several people.
