Spread for 2013
Dec. 29th, 2012 09:40 amThis is long, so, I'm cutting it.
Anyone who wants one of these, let me know. It's a hefty reading so a small dontion for my time and typing may be in order.
The first twelve cards represent the twelve months, and what influences will be coming in to play during that month. Each card can represent a theme for that month, warn me of challenges ahead, or introduce a bit of fortune into my path.
1) January-5 of Cups, loss, regret, disappointment, despair
2) February--King of Cups, emotional balance, control and generosity
3) March--The Star, hope, spirituality, renewal inspiration
4) April--Page of Cups, creative beginnings, synchronicity
5) May--Page of Wands, enthusiasm, exploration, discovery
6) June--2 of Pentacles, balance, adaptability, time management
7)July--2 of Swords, indecision, stalemate
8) August--6 of Wands, public recognition, victory, progress
9)September--The Hanged Man, suspension, restriction, sacrifice, letting go
10) October--5 of Wands, disagreemnt, strife, conflict
11) November--King of Wands, vision, leadership, enterpreneur
12)December--Hierophant, confomrity, tradition, beliefs
Cards 13, 14, and 15 represent what influences are being carried over from the previous year – what I am holding on to from the year past. Sometimes we hold on to things we need to, other times its wise to let them go. These cards can help you make that decision.
5 of pentacles, Knight of Swords and the Wheel of Fortune
Insecurity, worry, financial loss. Swift action, open communication. Good luck, a turning point, a cycle. The outside influences that I cannot control will continue, but I need to take and active and swift hand in altering them.
Cards 16, 17, and 18 indicate what I will be carrying over into the next year – what I will be taking out of this current year and will be influencing the future beyond it.
The Chariot. The Nine of Swords. The Moon.
Control, Assertion, determination. Despression, nightmares, anxiety and despair. Illusion, deception, insecurity, fear, subconscious.
Cards 19 and 20 represent what will be crossing me this year. As there are only two cards in these positions, they carry a lot of weight. They are the over-arching challenges, situations, or influences that will be crossing my path, for better or worse.
4 of Wands. The Hermit.
Celebration, harmony, marriage, home, community. Soul searching, introspection, time alone.
Cards 21, 22, 23 and 24 represent the themes of each season – Imbolc, Beltane, Lammas, and Samhain, respectively, and what each quarter-turn of the wheel will bring.
Imbolc: Queen of Wands, Exuberance. Determination.
Beltane: 6 of Pentacles. Generosity, prosperity and giving.
Lammas: The Sun. Warmth, success, positivity
Samhain: Page of Pentacles. manifestation. financial opportunity
The final card, 25, is a keyword to carry with me throughout the year, advice or insight for the coming year.
2 of Cups.
Unified love. Partnerships to mutually beneficial outcomes.
Interesting that there is a caduceus, a symble of Hermes, my patron, on this card.
Not only must I be willing to give love, to join with those who love me, I need to give my love to my god as well. A partnership with the god of writers and commerce cannot possibly hurt.
