Let's start with the obvious.

Star Wars: In Empire, Luke's come by to say goodbye before the battle. Han stares after him for far too long with a look on his face that can only be called worried love.

Star Trek: In the episode "The Empath" McCoy has been brutalized. Spock takes his pulse, then his hand lingers, and gently strokes McCoy's. The camera lingers, too. looks like Vulcan french-kissing to me...

Buffy: The look on Ethan's face in "Halloween" when he says "hello, Ripper." It speaks so much of a shared past. Or in Killed by Death when Angelus gets into Xander's face, almost close enough to kiss him...

Sentinel: "Blind man's Bluff." Sneaks is selling them info. The way Blair's face goes when he says "Tongue is great." Followed by Jim holding him steady after his own bout with the Golden, in the longest, sweetest hug on tv.

Indiana Jones: This is an odd fandom. But for me it's when Henry looks at Indy and says "you didn't drag poor Marcus along on this!" Then the whole bit in the tank of "Genius of the Restoration, aid in our resuscitation."

Simon & Simon: "Least Dangerous Game" AJ has been shot with a tranq dart at the zoo. Rick wrestles him to the ground, and AJ's legs go around Rick's waist like it's the most natural thing in the world.

Moments that hooked me on shows:

Xena: "Hooves and Harlots" watching the Centaur clop out of the trees. He was REAL! No stop motion. That was a man and a horse and all in one.

Buffy: "School Hard." The line "You were my sire man, my Yoda" stopped me DEAD in my channel surfing. It was so VERY wrong, i had to see what else would happen. And i was lost.

And mostly this is to take my mind off how bad my gums hurt after descaling, and the fact I have 2 brutal cavities to be filled next week.

Oh yes.

That is a wonderful moment. I picked the Mirror, Mirror moment for my list because it's sparked more stories for me, but... McCoy saying "You've got a great bedside manner, Spock..." in a voice that sounds like it hurts to speak...

Buffy: The look on Ethan's face in "Halloween" when he says "hello, Ripper." It speaks so much of a shared past.

Oh yes. Though for me, the moment in that episode is when Giles - nice, sweet, gentle, harmless Giles - has Ethan down on the floor, and slams his foot into him - and suddenly the expression on Rupert Giles's face is Ripper.

Or in Killed by Death when Angelus gets into Xander's face, almost close enough to kiss him...

Yesssssss...

So many good Buffy moments, so little time...
