My daughter had a choir concert tonight.

Pretty good show. They sang "At the hop," "Surfin' USA" and "Down at the Twist and Shout." But then they hit a song calle "American Tears." I had horrid visions of myself standing up, as they're singing about freedom and liberty, and shouting something to the effect of "hope you enjoyed them because Ashcroft just raped them away. And now Santorum says there is no right to privacy. Yeah, American tears, for the America that was."

I didn't. I just thought about it. My kids still have to go to the school after all.

Sometimes, I am not a nice person.

"Nice is good
Mean is bad
Don't be mean 'cause mean is bad.
Nice is better than mean..."

Laundry running, and I need to load the dishwasher before I take my shower and go to bed.

FLY-ing is not going well. Although there is actual visible carpet in places now.

Back on Atkins tomorrow, so savoring one last Code Red.

But Bunny has 1 more year, and Obi has 4, and Jonner and Dollface haven't started, but they'll be there for another 9 years.

I didn't think indulging myself for ten seconds was worth my kids taking a decade of grief.
