First day of school blues

School started today. The kids headed out, each to a different school. And I came home to peace and quiet. It was glorious.

I wrote almost 3000 words today.

I did cleaning, I did laundry. I went to the credit union and got my allergy shot. (I went too early or I could have deposited a nicely sized EC check. Although for 109 copies of a book sold, you'd think I'd see more than $13. (I get 6% and it was on sale for 1.99)

We had chicken enchiladas for dinner and there was cherry pie for afters. There's cantaloupe and carrots, bananas and sandwiches for morning.

Now I have to do paperwork and sort through shopping lists. Bleh.

Did Oli enjoy her first day? When she told me that she had no school friends I almost cried.

It was all right. Her teacher is nice. She says she has all the popular kids in her room, which sucks. However, on reading placement tests, she was excited to make the middle group instead of the bottom one. She's, get this, a wookiee. (The top kids are Jedi)
