"Invitation" is finished, quickly beta'd (Huge MWAH! smoochies to jkb) and off to Imperium. It's based on an old Russian ghost story about Grigory and Alexei. I do wih I could get my hands on Geoffrey Palmer's Ghost Stories Around the World. Alas, is out of print.

Also, got Victorian Christmas squares and replacement squares ready to mail.

Would you be referring to Rasputin and the Tsarevitch (I may have spelled that incorrectly)? I'm rather fascinated by the Romanovs and just recently watched Rasputin with Ian McKellen and Alan Rickman. I'd love to hear the gist of the ghost story. Is the story you wrote SW or something else? I'm curious :)

The story is the same one I just sent to "Imperium" right down to the elderly monk digging up the ancient account of the bridal party left waiting at the gate of the cemetary while Grigory went in to invite his best friend to his wedding.

I had the fool thing memorized in grade school.

It's a far older tale than the Romanovs. But wasn't the movie hot? Alan Rickman just sizzles, doesn't he? I haven't watched it all. Hard to watch R rated movies with kidlets around.
