1) My daughter is auditioning for Playboy. *headdesk* I feel like a failure. Not an utter failure (that would be Hustler) but a failure.
2) Bun has dumped the sugar-daddy, with money and a house and other perks, and hooked up with an unemployed 26 year old divorcee, with a child (not custodial), living in his parents basement. Sweetie, if you're going to be a gold digger, at least dig where there is gold.
3) Mom is hospitalized with severe anemia. The count that should be 27 is 7. Her hemoglobin is all immature cells and she isn't producing white cells. My sister says it's like a bad episode of House, where no one can figure out what's wrong. Where's Hugh Laurie when you need him? BTW, Mom is blood type AB-, just to add a layer of fun.
4) Two people have cried on me this week. One, I'm used to. She lives from crisis to crisis and panic to panic. The other, not so much. She's usually all together.
5) It never gets cooler than 85 and the humidity is brutal even at 4 AM. Freight levels have been high.
6) I'm going to Chicago this weekend. I'm looking forward and dreading at the same time. My two riders have no way to get to our meet point. My room is apparently being used as a party-pad by the International Brotherhood of Beards and Leather. (The Leather Ladies will be protesting the party) And I have to drive until 11 AM for work and then drive 8 more hours to Chicago, in the same day AND be ready to talk about "Writing the Erotic scene" when I get there.
7) Olivia broke her glasses. Replacing cost $130. Money is always bad.
8) I still haven't sent out the copies of Worth the Woe
9) I had a weird allergic reaction and my feet are a mess. Got so bad and spread so bad that my legs swelled up and I thought I was looking at another bout of cellulitis. Benedryl is knocking it back
The high point of my week? The arrival of WILD PASSIONS in paperback.
Sometimes, you get a months' worth of crap in a single week.

Date: 2011-06-16 01:12 am (UTC)Also the boy thing... also wow. She needs a good, independent girlfriend or something.
I'll buy you a drink or a desert (whichever you prefer for the drowning of days like these) when you get here next week. I think you need one or a dozen.
On the good news side? Chicago is going to have highs in the high seventies when you get here. Sixties at night. It'll be raining non stop, I think, but um... marginally cooler?
Your mom and my brother should see if House gives group discounts. They're taking out his gall bladder this week mostly because they don't know what else it *could* be, so they'll try this after three weeks of abdominal hell.

Date: 2011-06-16 02:43 am (UTC)Bun talked to your mom tonight and I believe she's doing somewhat better
Let me know if I can do anything to help with the Oli glass situation.
CLARATIN particularly the generic walmart version kicks benadryl's ass in my opinion also get some generic zantac. It's an histamine blocker and will also help with the swelling. my allergist recomended strongly for me.
Good Luck in Chicago.
