The D-Man Checks In: Since my birth, I have now seen & lived through like 3 of these silly "End of The World" predictions--which I am honestly surprised manage to rate national news coverage. The 2nd to last one I did get some mild amusement out of though, as some of my high school teachers actually accepted as a valid excuse for not having our homework done that: "Well, the world wasn't supposed to be here today, and danged if I was gonna spend my last night on Earth doing homework."

Anyhoo, I believe I have now noticed a pattern: Is it just me, or has anybody else noticed that the world is always supposed to end on a weekend? Never the middle of the week, or on a Monday... but always on a weekend. Maybe it's a conspiracy between the Dooms-Dayers & the taverns to boost sales whenever the economy gets just so bad?
