It's finally come down to it
Feb. 25th, 2011 08:09 pmI have a raging infection in my mouth. As in overdosing on tylenol to function pain levels.
My dentist has me on antibiotics, and next Thursday, I am having oral surgery. I'm losing several rotten, broken and abcessed front teeth. I have an appointment on Wed to discuss which ones and get my partial plate organized.
Not sure about this. One one hand, my TEETH. On the other, no more pain, no more shame, no more root canals.

Date: 2011-02-26 02:19 am (UTC)Olive oil mixed into a paste with salt (preferably sea salt but regular works) and just a little pepper put on a q-tip and applied to the area for 10 seconds or so will numb it for an hour or so. I found this online when I had an infected wisdom tooth and it helped me get through the weekend until I could see my dentist.

Not sure about the remedy given above, but clove oil in small amounts will help and also acts as a mild astringent. It's the active ingredient in most mouth pain gels.
