My throat was scratchy last night

Today, I am still sore and getting stuffy.

I am supposed to go to Trudy's memorial service tonight. I will regret it if I don't, but I do NOT want to go.
I feel bad. My energy is low. I don't want to contaminate everyone around me but if I don't go, I will regret it.

I want to crawl into bed and be fed chicken soup by pretty frond boys and sleep until I feel better.

BTW: Trudy is not my mother for anyone who is wondering, she's one of my ministers.

Consider that maybe Trudy would not want you to compromise your health further for a ceremony. I don't know her at all, but I think it's worth giving it some thought and not feeling guilty if you choose not to go.
