A death in the family
Dec. 15th, 2010 09:41 pmShe passed last night after a grave illness.
We saw her Saturday at Yule. She looked bad from the steroids, but she was in good spirits and confident she could beat the cancer. She got a book on the gift exchange that she'd been wanting and I dearly hope she got to read at least part of it.
I'm not sure I have the words now, or that I ever will, to describe her or thank her.
But it makes me smile and choke up at once to think of her laughing in the arms of her beloved Trickster, and raising her head to howl at the waxing moon with him and Coyote.
