Zombies...why did it have to be zombies?
Dec. 7th, 2010 03:41 pmSo, I watched The Walking Dead premiere. An hour and a half of post-apoc with some of the most gruesome stuff ever. I mean I've written it, but not SEEN it. then I'm busting my tail on some edits and I hear a scrape at the door.
Not a knock.
Not someone coming in the house.
A scrape.
"Oli?" I ask. It's about 10 minutes too early for her to be home from school.
I shake my head. "You know it's not Oli. It's never Oli." And I GOT UP TO CHECK!
Half way to the door, I smacked myself upside the head. "Angel, you have the survival instincts of a cantaloupe!" So I picked up a bat as I opened the door....
In time to see the UPS van pulling away and my new boots in between the storm door and heavy door.
*headdesk*

Re: advice that will keep you (un)alive!
Date: 2010-12-08 10:29 am (UTC)Then I reminded myself that a zombie apocalypse could not possibly have broken out in the last half an hour and I live in the real world.
I still didn't put down the bat...
