I am incoherent.

"PoV: A Bystander zine" arrived yesterday.

::dies::

::Still dead of joy::

::revives, being only mostly dead::

So gorgeous. I knew from the minute I opened the box (box, oh my, this is fancy) this was going to be something. The zine is heavy paper, so nice to touch, bound on the short side.

The pictures. Oh stars, the pictures!

::dies again::

::revives::

These are fabulous, full color works by Gayle. Magnificent 7, Harry Potter, Star Wars (both sets) and Highlander. And a bonus print of Qui & Obi that was entirely too hot to have opened in front of my kids. ::blush::

The stories are excellent. They are all tales about the picture. The narrator is someone catching a glimpse of the boys (whichever boys they are) and thinking on it. [livejournal.com profile] heronirene wrote one from the PoV of a 7' bird. A couple of Leia PoV's, one by [livejournal.com profile] walkerminion, a Deepa Billaba, my own Mace Windu, a Minerva MacGonagle. (Sorry, haven't read all the Potter ones. Harry/Snape skeeves me)

So gorgeous. My one single complaint is that my story was mistitled in the Table of Contents.
It's called "Living the Code."

Otherwise, so fabulous! I'm a part of art. Which, if I wasn't dead of joy would make me squee like a teeny-bopper fan meeting Orlando Bloom.

::dies again.::

::stays dead::

::Friends list goes through pockets for loose change::

::chuckle:: Sounds pretty ludicrous put that way! *g* Hope it reads better than the description indicates!

I'm still waiting for my copy of the zine to show up... anxiously drumming fingers on the desk.

Yeah, still home sick today. Cold has moved into my chest and I smell strongly of Vicks Vap-O-Rub. Bleah. Not breathing is inconvenient.

Would the phrase "7' tall sentient bird" make it better? It was fabulous. And I love the way you created a whole society and wrote from the perspective of another species.

Yours will probably arrive today.

Not breathing is inconvenient.
LOL. Not at you, just at how understated that is.

My coworkers are like "What's up? You look positively cheery." (I am not a morning-wookiee)

I mentioned I got an art book I'd ordered for my birthday, and it was fabulous.

BTW: was there any loose change in my pockets? or just lint and used tissues?
;-)
