Memphis folks, if you have any use at all for good oak, come get some!
I don't want the whole tree going into the landfill.

Every time I think we've finished with the storm stuff, a new expense hits.

This is going to run us $800 at least.
Bun's Tow: $150
Tree removal: $150
Chainsaw: $100
Car repair from flooded street: $400

We're all alive. We have a house and our stuff. A dozen of my friends are not so fortunate. I feel petty whining about two weeks' pay when friends are living in guest rooms and shelters. But it is my LJ.

On the plus side, I dug out the donation closet. We have some clothes for family 1. I had more 4T stuff left than I thought.

Just keep reminding yourself that you -are- all okay and that money is something you can get more of, while family and friends aren't so easily replaced.

And really, $800 is getting off easily compared to replacing an entire car or the whole house.
