We've been sawing away at the trees for hours. Obi is beat. The littles are tired and my shoulders hurt like no tomorrow. Mudd is about the color of a Fanta Strawberry soda label.

I broke down and bought a chainsaw. I walked in to Sears (yes, yes, Naomi, I KNOW) and got a 16" electric chainsaw on sale. Now we're hunting extension cords.

It also looks like Bun may have made the right decision to get our when she could. Nobody is leaving Nashville now.

irene_heron is under 2 feet of water. She may lose her whole house to this. moonstone_fae is flooded out and they've lost almost everything.

My brother is extremely grateful to be living at the top of a hill right now. And not like, a major landform hill, but the highest point in his particular subdivision.

He's good, but he isn't sure he can get to work any time soon between local flooding and the highways being closed between Hendersonville and Nashville.
