The worst has passed

valarltdThe worst of the storm has moved on.
The sirens are still going off. The kids are still in the hall. I had to get up before I stiffened up too much to move.
The top third of our big willow oak tree is in the neighbor's yard and street. The top third of the next-door neighbor's pin oak missed our Prius by 5 feet. The windows rattled when they all fell.
The street is awash.
But we are all well and safe.
