Bun has had a bout of major depression since she broke up with her boyfriend. The car accident didn't help

Apparently, she has skipepd 2 weeks of school and is very behind.

Bun, welcome to your new reality:

Would pictures cheer her up? I'd be happy to come take some...maybe on her spring break?

I know you guys are a pretty smart household but if she needs tutoring help, I'm here for you.

That would be terrific. We'll plan for it.

Do you know anything about French? That's the only area we have any problem. English, Chem, US Government, Spanish, History we're good for and Art is all in-class. But French? My last French lessons were 30 years ago.

Sadly, no. The languages I know are English, some Spanish, and some (more than Spanish though) ASL. Sorry.

Pictures will make her smile. Especially "dark" ones in a cemetery or something.

*hugs* to all of you!

I speak French. I don't know how much help that is with me a thousand miles away, but I'd be willing to coach her over email or possibly AIM. (Clearly I can't help with pronunciation.)

It's from the movie Apt Pupil. Our boy gets too wrapped up in the stories he's getting from a fugitive Nazi and starts to fail. So The Butcher of Patin is reduced to tutoring his blackmailer through the tenth grade.

I have gone Ian MacKellen on her butt.

It is one of Stephan King's best stories, right up there with "Rita Hayworth and the Shawshank Redemption" and "The Body" (both of which also made very good movies).

Sir Ian is even more brilliant than usual. Brad Renfro...such a shame. He would have had an amazing career.

Get back to me on the "Oh no, my boy. We are fucking each other." scene.

Let's not forget that last little moral at the end: No good deed goes unpunished.
Stellar movie. Good Creep factor.

Is she okay? A dumb question I know but I mean in a grand scheme of things screw up her life forever sense?

Nah. Mama Bear was on hand to fix it before it got to that.

Everything is good. We're just going to have to re-enact Apt Pupil for a while (the homework bits, not the whole murdering transients parts).
