When someone shows you who they are, believe them. --Maya Angelou
A poll of Republican beliefs. 16% would vote Palin for President today. 42% have accepted that Obama was born in the US. 77% oppose gay marriage and 73% oppose gay schoolteachers. And 31% say contraception should be outlawed. 31% favor banning something 98% of women use in their lifetime.

The Chick Tract Even Jack Chick is ashamed of. The gay bashers and the repressive parents are the HEROS, folks...

1 in 3 British children think their school teacher is an alien. The mind boggles. I expect that here in the states.

How to be a super prolific short story writer. No, I didn't write the article.

February Goodies:
Prince of Wales Pie
1 pie shell, baked
2/3 c. packed brown sugar
2/3 c. butter
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1/2 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 to 3 tbsp. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Unsweetened whipped cream
Pecan halves for garnish

Pre-bake pie shell. Combine brown sugar, butter and condensed milk in saucepan over medium-low heat. Bring to boil. Stir constantly for 7 minutes until thick. Mixture scorches easily. Remove from heat. Stir in nuts and raisins.

Pour into shell. Sprinkle with chocolate chips - they will melt. Swirl chocolate on top of pie. Chill until firm. Top with whipped cream and pecans.

I'm convinced that more than 1/3 of the stories in the Metro are written by aliens, anyway, so none of their statistics surprise me.

I thought it was interesting that the majority of both men and women respondents believed that marriage is an equal partnership (rather than men should be the head of the household) and that women should work outside the home, especially in light of the other responses.
