I am not a huge fan of D*C in general. Too big, too crowded, too expensive. Also, have had the bad experience with the furry community as well. So I may pass on that. If Seven Times a Woman was published though, that'd be different. It totally screams Otherkin and I would enjoy sharing it with the community. Ahh, well, maybe someday, maybe never. I am highly bitter tonight. Although not unexpected, my D*C rejection came at a ridiculously bad time. I am giving up this author thing. It's for the birds.
No, Apex wouldn't. And I wouldn't ask them to. It isn't their style and not to the taste of their readership. My current stuff with them is too squishy and fluffy! Sizemore didn't even put it up for a Stoker Award because it wasn't horror enough. *sigh*
And Succubus Productions is a one-woman operation right now. I'm only doing my stuff and avoiding contracts.
Much too small press for you anyway. If you were more prolific, I would point Trace Edward Zaber of Amber Quill in your direction. But I'm still proving myself there.
I am tired and worn-out and feeling completely beat-down by the small-press industry right now. Soul=eaten. I am going back to writing for fun and screw trying to make this a business. It isn't worth the stress, not to mention the cost.

Date: 2010-01-18 01:03 am (UTC)And won't Apex pick up Seven times a Woman?
Big, crowded, expensive, and I thought I was going to DIE from all the heights. Between the escalator in the metro and our room up in the sky...
