Work: Not bad today. One of my drivers managed to tick me off yesterday though. We park in a truckstop. It is maybe half full. He wedges himself in between two trucks and BEHIND the only lightpole on the lot. And pulls far enough forward I have 50' to park a 65' rig. I don't have enough astroglide for THAT trick. He parked better today.

Shower, yes, fly, no. Took a nap because I had class tonight.

Dinner: Ham scalloped potatoes. Yum.

Class: Discussing Defining Moments. One of mine was being dragged out to see Star Wars. It caused me to read the first novel I ever read. It got me into the tie-in novel;s and Brian Daley still shapes my writing. It got me into science fiction, shaped a lot of my belief about morality and people. It is responsible for my professional writing career in a backhand way (I met my first publisher through fandom). It probably influence my husband choice, and may be the reason I'm a pantheist.

Tarot Meditation for the day: Eight of Pentacles. A decision has been made and a creative venture is underway. Concentrate, focus, isolate yourself as needed. Single-minded effort.

BPAL scent of the day: Danube. Rhododendron and bellflower petals swirl through deep, cool, dark aquatic notes.

Brian Daley...did you read the Jinx on a Terran Inheritance series? (Not it's real name, but I can only think of that title right now.) I read it as a kid and was impressed at how well it stood up to an adult reread a few years ago. In fact, I may have to dig those books out and read them again sometime soon.

No, I only read his Han Solo trilogy. I loved his radio adaptations of Star Wars and Empire though.
