Busy few weeks ahead.
Jan. 19th, 2003 10:22 pmThis is one of those times I wish I was an at-home mom. I might be able to get everything done.
I have:
1) dance class to teach for a GS troop.
Helping them earn their dance badge.
2) Pinewood derby racer to build.
3) Viking dress to sew for daughter's project.
And knotwork to help her draw, and artifacts to assemble.
4) and a house to clean before my dad arrives on Feb 1.
May i scream yet?
But, today we cleaned the study. It needs vacuuming, and I found a bunch of stuff, including my plotbunny
And OH MY! Don't open this with anyone looking over your shoulder.

Fascinating!
Date: 2003-01-20 07:06 pm (UTC)The page about frottage was fascinating. Very interesting to see gay men expressing some of the same things that H/L writers seem to find appealing about frottage -- the sense of equality, spontaneity, etc. Very, very interesting. I was also somewhat dismayed at how anal sex was equated with feminization of one of the participants, but then I didn't quite get why they seemed to feel that writing about the joys of frottage meant they had to knock anal sex anyway. Personally, I like the idea that the boys are into all kinds of techniques and that even they don't know what they're going to do in bed til they get there. It seems kind of funny to think of people needing to take a stand for one technique and against another technique, but maybe frottage is not taken seriously in the gay community and so these guys had a chip on their shoulders. Anyway, the site is very interesting, especially for a writer in a "frottage-oriented fandom." :)
I wonder if it's still called frottage when it's a man and a woman rubbing off on each other. Or when the man is thrusting into his partner's hand, be the partner male or female.
Probably TMI
Date: 2003-01-20 07:25 pm (UTC)Or more vulgarly, dry humping. Although there was nothing very dry about it last time! (I didn't know one could actually soak through denim...)
My all-time biggest complaint is that it's messy. Even in the shower.
As for the second: manual sex, jerking off, jacking off, a hand job.
It doesn't really qualify as frottage.
I can see where they would be a bit defensive that "it's real sex." You know my attitudes. Many men tend to have them as well.
The old "first base,(kiss) second base (tits), third base (manual), homer (sex)" mentality.
As for our boys, I go with what works. Personally, I don't write much frottage because I don't find it comfortable myself. Someone always gets chafed.
Highly Probably TMI
Date: 2003-01-20 09:33 pm (UTC)To me, a hand job or jerking off is different than what I'm describing. I'm talking about where the man who's getting off is doing most of the work, thrusting against his partner as in frottage, but where the partner puts his or her hand under his penis or partly wrapped around it for him to thrust against/into. So the partner is doing a little bit of active handwork, but there's also all this full-body contact and large body movements (i.e. thrusting) as with intercourse or frottage, and the hand part is mostly just to provide firm pressure and a tight enclosure for him to thrust into. This kind of thing seems like a very different experience than what I would call giving someone a handjob. (And now I'm also wondering whether a roughly equivalent technique could work on a woman, and what it would be called then.)
