Thanksgiving
Nov. 26th, 2009 01:47 pmLord of the hunt and harvest,
he who filled the Mother's womb before the dawn of time,
bless this, our harvest feast.
Lord of the Dance,
lead us in the circle of the year,
through the sun's death and rebirth,
until the cycle when we come to you,
Dark Hunter, your children and prey
for the final death and passage into the Cauldron of Rebirth.
The turkey is baking. Until 5:30.
Everything else is either done or assembled and only needs half an hour in the oven.
I've had eggnog. 8)
My family is all at home and safe. Bun's boy is with us.
Mudd is having a nap. The kids are playing on the computers.
We have a great deal to be thankful for this year.
The kids are all in good health and no one needed surgery.
I came through a hospitalization well and avoided a second.
My parents and sisters are in good health.
My younger sister remains unemployed, mostly in order to finish school, but her husband's business is taking off.
Mudd and I are working.
I'm down 30 lbs and feeling infinitely better.
Bun has college acceptance and a scholarship.
Dollface can read!
We are perpetually stretched and spread too thin, but that is a sign of working hard, which is good.
I am grateful for a faith-family who are supporting me as the gods challenge me on a daily basis.
