I meant to write a nice little Sf-Horror piece about racism, classism, knowing yourself and all that other jazz. Alternately, I was going to bang away (pardon the expression) at a contemporary about a shy but kinky librarian and a geeky scadian mechanic who makes chainmail.

So why in the name of the nine cold hells am I more than 700 words into an airship pirate attack on a luxury skyliner?

Who is he in RL? I hope the character is really smart -- to quote my newest fandom, "I like smart".

The actor is Aaron Stanford from The Hills Have Eyes. Pyro in X-Men. He also does a lot of indy movies like Winter Solstice, The Cake Eaters and Live Free or Die.

Henry is not well educated. It is 1870 and he's poor Irish from Boston. But he's clever and handy.
