Too much stuff
Jun. 10th, 2009 07:07 pm1) Our edits on the Queered Dimension story are long past due. *headdesk* I have con-brain.
2) Our first edits for Withycombe came back today. Not too much. Some hyphen stuff that should be one word (darn Ellora House Style) and a few archaic words. Also concern that it might not fit the GLBT line because the boys are bisexual. *rantrantrant* B in GLBT is NOT decorative!
3) 88 is a little late to be deciding to pursue terrorism. I suspect he didn't plan to live through it.
4) I've got a rant percolating about how "pro-lifers" don't seem to believe people really love each other. Women don't love their children. After all, we decide around the 7th or 8th or hell even in labor, that we're sick of the little parasite, flop out on the dr's table and say "suck its brains out," while we munch bonbons and read Vogue. There's never the idea that late-term abortions are tragic, painful decisions and hideous procedures, done under horrid circumstances with much grief. Just the idea of women as lazy evil bitches who hate our kids and get off on slaughtering them as close to birth as possible.
Men don't love their wives (after all, he can always remarry when you die in childbirth) and children aren't attached to their parents at all (a stepmom, once you've died in childbirth, is perfectly fine)
What a hideous world these people live in. No wonder they think abortion and divorce need to be banned if they think people are really like that. Women as selfish evil bloodthirsty appliances, men as uncaring wallets who replace women like they were appliances and children who can only tell the difference in mommies by hair color or something.
Sorry.
This has been piling up for a while.
