a weekend of ritual

Yesterday was Summerland Grove's Beltaine ritual. We of the First Realm class were dragooned into running it. It was an experience.

We were a little late, since my workday was iffy.

But we got in to the park and made greenman masks. In a great Mayday tradition of genderbending, I made mine a masculine mask, with long mustachios.

The circle was great. They cast it by dropping flowers behind us.
And I invoked the South, spirits of fire and passion
The working was a focus on growing something in your life.


The potluck was pretty good too. There was a surfeit of dessert, as usual. I'm not sure if I should stop bringing it or not. I always bring a main dish, a side and a dessert. With as many hearty eaters as I bring to rit, I feel obligated.


Today, I've spent most of the afternoon writing the full moon ritual for Friday.
I've gotten everything except the working. I'm not happy with the Goddess Invitation, so I'll be rewriting that.
I'll make the altar tomorrow.
My list of "to buy" items is getting longer...

Nope. It's just the name of the church.

We're an interfaith pagan congregation. We have Celtic and Egyptian and Asatruar and Wiccan and my wookiee self.
